 But he, O mighty-armed, who knoweth the essence of the divisions of the qualities and functions, holding that the qualities move amid the qualities, 1 is not attached.                   (28)

 तत्ववित् %he essence-knower ; तु indeed ; महाबाहो 0 mighty armed (ii. 26 ) ; गुणकर्मविभागयोः = गुणानाम् च कर्मणाम् च विभागयोः of the qualities, and, of the actions, and, of the (two) divisions 2; गुणाः the qualities; गुणेषु in the qualities; वर्तते exist ; इति thus ; मत्वा having thought; न not ; सज्जते is attached।

प्रकृतेर्गुणसंमूढाः सज्जते गुणकर्मसु ।
तानकृत्स्नविदो मंदान्कृत्स्नविन्न विचालयेत्॥ २९ ॥

 Those deluded by the qualities of nature are attached to the functions of the qualities. The man of perfect knowledge should not unsettle the foolish whose knowledge is imperfect.                (29)

 प्रकृतेः of nature; गुणसंमूढाः = गुणैः संमूढाः by the qualities, deluded ; सज्जंते are attached ; गुणकर्मसु = गुणानां कर्मसु of the qualities, in the actions ; तान् those ; अकृत्स्नविदः not-all-
