each other ; भावयेतः nourishing ; श्रेयः good ; परं the highest; अवाप्स्यथ (ye ) shall obtain.
इष्टान्भोगान्हि वो देवा दास्यंते यज्ञभाविताः।
तैर्दत्तानप्रदायैभ्यो यो भुक्ते स्तेन एव सः ॥१२॥
" For, nourished by sacrifice, the Shining Ones shall bestow on you the enjoyments you desire.” A thief verily is he who enjoyeth what is given by Them with out returning Them aught. (12)
इष्टान् desired; भोगान् enjoyments; हि indeed ; वः to you ; देवाः the Gods; दास्यंते will give; यज्ञभाविताः = यज्ञेन भाविताः by sacrifice, nourished; तैः by them ; दतान् given ; अप्रदाय not having given ( returned ) ; एभ्यः to these ; यः who; भुंक्ते enjoys ; स्तेनः thief ; एव only ; सः he.
यज्ञशिष्टाशिनः संतो मुच्यंते सर्वकिल्बिषैः । भुंजते ते त्वघं पापा ये पचयात्मकारणात् ॥ १३ ॥
The righteous, who eat the remains of the sacrifice, are freed from all sins ; but the impious, who dress food for their own sakes, they verily eat sin. (13)
यज्ञशिष्टाशिनः = यज्ञस्य शिष्टं अश्नंतिते of the sacrifice, remains, (who) eat, they ; संतः the good ; मुच्यंते are freed ; सर्वकिल्बिषेः = सर्वैः किल्बिषेः by (from) all, by (from) sins; भुंजते enjoy; ते those ; तु indeed ; अघ evil ; पापाः sinners ; ये who ; पञ्चति cook; आत्मकारणात् = आत्मनः कारणात् of the self, from (for the) cause (sake)
