76 Lesson XVIII. 224. The forms HT, À, fi, 7 are enclitic, and are never used at the beginning of a sentence, or before the particles 7, Va, at 225. In pronouns of the first and second persons the plural is often used for the singular. Pronouns (and other words as well) show in Sanskrit a curious tendency to agree in form with the predicate rather than with the subject to which they refer. OUT Vocabulary XVIII.
