lent to me by Mr. Arthur Venis, M. A., Principal of the College. In reply to my letter of bhe 18bh December 1898 he was good enough to send me the Ms on the 24ah idem. The note on the Ma, in bhe College Library is रेखागणितं पण्डितराजयगाथविर चितमेकपुटकारमकं संपूर्ण The Ms, begins as follows :- श्रीगणेशाय नमः । श्रीशारदायै नमः । श्रीगुरवे नमः । ओं सिद्धिः । गजाननं गणाधिपं सुरासुरार्चितं सदा। समस्तभक्तकामदं शिवामृतं सुखप्रदम् ॥ वितण्डचण्डयोगिनीसमाजमध्यवर्तिनम् । समस्तभूतिभूषितं नमामि विन्नवारणम् ॥ क्षमीनृसिंह &c. The verses dedicated to Ganesa are bhus in this Mcin a different form. It is a complete Ms. in a book form on counthry-paper, and appears to be old as many pages are eaten by white ants on the border. Though the ls, is incorrect, does not contain all the figures and those that are given are inaccurate, particularly in the latter portion, still it as of great use to me in filling up the omission of lines on many pages in MrDhruva's Ms. sent to bhe press. The Principal was kind enough to allow me to keep it with me for a long time and I returned it to him on the 29h March 1901 after bhe whole text of my first volume and a part of bhe second volume were printed off This Msis designated K. V. The fifth Mawas obtained from Eis Eighness, the Maharaj&'s Sanskrit College, Trivandrum, through my friend Prof. S. Radhakrishna Aiyar B. A., F. M. U, Principal of His Highness the Maharaj&'s CollegePudukota. This is a very neat Ms in a book-form. But on comparing it with the above Ma, I found it an eact copy of it. It was not therefore of use for collation. It contains a few figures not found in the Benares Mic VIL. Having learnt that there was a complete Ms. of the work in bhe library of His Highness, bhe Maharaja of Kashmir, deposited in bhe Raghunabha Temple, I applied to Dr. M. A. Stein, M. A., late Principal of the Oriental College, LAhore, for a loan of it and received the following reply from him :-
