FOREWORD
Eulogies are very famous in Sanskrit literature. 0ur scriptures are rich in Stotras on many deities. In order to praise a deity in divergent aspects, One should compose 'Sahasranama', a stotra which contains thousand names of a particular deity. Hence a Sahasranama occupies an important place in daily worship.
Among all the Sahasranamas available, Sri Vishnusahasranāma is remarkable in many respects. Likewise, Sri Lalitāsahasranama is also a great one. Although many scholars commented upon Sri Lalita sahasranama, the 'Soubhāgyabhaskara " commentary of Si Bhaskararaya excells all the other commentaries. It drives home many knoty points of our philosophi- cal systems. Hence, we are publishing now Sri Lalita sahasranama along with the Bhasya of Sri Bhaskara rāya for the benefit 0f Devi devotees. We hope this great work will enlighten the Devi devotees for better spiritual life.
