FORWORD Vimanarcana Kalpa written by Sage Marici is one of the important texts of Vaikhanasa Agama. This is a reprint of the book published by the T.T.D. a few years ago. The Waikhanasa tradition of temple worship was founded by Sage Vikhanasa Maharshi. Sri Vimanarcana Kalpa text consisting of 101 patalas gives full details about construction of temples, preparation of different idols with detailed measurements, procedure for installation of idols, daily pooja, visesa puja and Prayascittas. It also exhaustively deals with Bhakti, Prapatti and Yoga systems. This book is often referred to as an authoritative text for rituals in Sri Venkateswara Temple at Tirumala.
