Sivarama sastri Tatke and his services. ___The work of carrying through the press, after the death of M.S.P. Pandit the rernainder of the text of Atharvaveda, and of preparing the Index of words is mainly due to the exertions of Pandit Sivaraam Sastri Titke. The help which this learned and hard working Sastri rendered to Mr. Pandit, ever since l undertook this important work was so great that he would not have failed to acknowledge the same in appropriate words as he did in the case of his editing of tiresslee evthy. As unfortunately Mr. Pandit is not spared to make this retur to the Sastri, it is only due to mention here that but for the close and exclusive attention of this mnany-sided Sastri, this work could not have been completed; and that he is, therefore, entitled to the best thanks of the Sanskrit reading public for placing before them, with more than half its Bhishya, this one of the most ancient sections of Indian literature.
