E- Society, Poona. व्याकरणदीप a small treatise on gram- mar by Cidrupasraya. व्याकरणदीपिका name of a short gloss or Vrtti on the Sutras of Panini written by a modern scholar of grammar Orambhatta of Varanasi. व्याकरणप्रकाश name of the comme- ntary written by Mahamisra on Jinendrabuddhi's great work 'Kasikavivaranapanjika' or Nyasa. व्याकरणमहाभाष्य see महाभाष्य, व्याकरणमहाभाष्यगूढार्थदीपिनी a brief commentary on the Mahabhasya, written by Sadasiva, son of Nila- kantha and pupil of Kamalakara Diksita. The gloss confines itself to the explanations of obscure and difficult passages in the Maha- bhasya and criticizes Kaiyata's explanations. व्याकरणमहाभाष्यप्रदीप the original name of the learned commentary on Patanjali's Mahabhasya by Kaiyatabhatta the well-known grammarian of Kashmir of the eleventh century. See उद्द्योत and नागेश. व्याकरणमहाभाष्यव्याख्या see महाभाष्य above. व्याकरणरत्नावली a short work on gra- mmar written by विद्यारत्न गौरमॊदन. व्याकरणसंग्रह a small grammar work written by a grammar scholar Gangadhara which is based upon the Mugdhabodha of Bopadeva. व्याकरणसुधानिघि a gloss on the Sutras of Panini written by Visvesvara. व्याकरणाध्ययनप्रयोजन the purpose of the study of Grammar which is beautifully summed up and dis- cussed in the first Ahnika by Pat- anjali in his Mahabhasya. व्याकरणान्तर a term used by scholars of the Paniniyan system of gram- mar with respect to grammar works of other systems such as the Katantra, the Sakatayana, and others; cf. श्रन्थिग्रन्थिदम्भिस्वञ्जीनां लिटः कित्वं व्याकरणान्तरे S.K. on अश्नॊतेश्च P.
