No reference books shall be lent out. 3. No borrower shall have more than two volumes out of the Library at one time. 4. Borrowers must not pass books from one to another but must return them to the Librarian. 5. Library books must not be used as class-books. 6. Any one who defaces by writing or otherwise damages any book shall pay the full cost of the book or of the entire works, if it consists of more than one volume. 7. The borrower shall be responsible for the value of the books lent out to him if they are lost, damaged or otherwise cannot be returned to the Library when they are due or recalled. 8. भो भो महाशयाः ! सहृदयाः ! सप्रश्रयमिदमिदानीं विशा-
पयामः- संस्कृत विद्याभिमानिनः पुरुषप्रवराः यं कंचन विषयमाघ-
कृत्य संस्कृतभाषामयं अनतिसंक्षिप्तविस्तरं उपक्रमोपसंहारपरिक-
र्मितं कस्याप्यनुद्वेगकरं अचर्चितपूर्व कालदेशदशानुगुणं प्रपञ्चोप-
कारकरं, धर्माद्यविरुद्धं “जीर्णमङ्गे सुभाषितम्” इति निर्वेदस्य
“वीरा वाचैव केवलम्" इत्यपवादस्य वा प्रशमकरं प्रस्पष्टमुख-
विलासमुपन्यासं विलिख्य प्रेषयेयुर्ये, तेभ्यो महद्भयः समर्थ
अनन्तान् "धन्यवादान् पत्रिकायामस्यां तमुपन्यासं पारयामः
प्रकाशयितुम् ॥
अपि च विप्रतिपन्नं यंकंचन चर्चास्पदं वस्तु सर्वेष्वपि
शास्त्रेषु विहाय जल्पवितण्डां यदि तत्त्वबुभुत्सयैवानुयुञ्जीरन्,
तत्रापि सौहार्देन प्रत्युत्तरयामः यथाशास्त्रं यथान्यायं यथा-
मति चेति ॥
न हीदृशं संवननं त्रिषु लोकेषु विद्यते ।
दया मैत्री च भूतेषु दानं च मधुरा च वाक् ॥
