The pras'asti-sarga is, however, not included in this number. This splendid work has been twice quoted in Jainadharmavara-stotra e. 8. 1. 1.36 on p. 112 and XI. 1. 26 on p. 122. Moreover, this beautiful kavya was translated into modern Greek at Athens in A. D. 1847 by D. Galanos from a manuscript in bis own possession. It was published with an claborate introduction by Tybaldos, who endeavoured to establish the identity of our author with Amarasimha, the twell-known lexicographer. It ends Fith thc pras'asti-sarga, containing a number of verses iu comuna with that of the Padmananda mahakavya. To be exact, the first two and the last four (43-46) are not to be found in the Padmananda mahakarya-perhaps the last, though by no means the least important, of lis literary works. 6.
