वादावली १५४ . तथाहि-धूमादूमध्वजसाधने किमेतद्देशकालसंलस्रो धूमी हेतुः; किं वा अनेतद्देशकालसंलम इति विकल्प्य, आद्ये साधनशून्यं निदर्शनम्, द्वितीयेऽसिद्धिरिति दूषणसम्भवादिति । १५५. मैवम्; तत्र धूममात्रस्य पर्वतेऽसिाधकत्वेनादूषणत्वाभ्यु पगमात् । १५६. तर्हि किं वक्रो धूमो हेतुरिति विकल्पेन दूषणप्रसङ्ग इति चेन्न; तस्य सामान्यस्यैव हेतुत्वात् । there is the c011ti1ge11ce of the non-existence of all inferences (as such) 154. It is 10t 50 (says the siddhatin); for since in establishing the fire in the mountain, there is the acceptance of 101-defectiveness (of the inference). 156. If it be said that in that case, through an analysis in the form “ is the probarns the curved smoke (or the straight one) ? ' there is the contingerce of the defect, not so (says the siddhantir) ; because it is only that (smoke) in general which is the probans .
