XXX thus enjoys a chorus of praise from the leading teachers of rival sects, Our author's life was one of unceasing literary and religious activity. From his childhood he was given to philosophical study and thinking. While a child he happened to sit in the religious class presided over by Varadacharya, the teacher of the author of the Tatvaprakasika. The great teacher was struck by the remarkable intelligence of the child and blessed him in the following manner. प्रतिष्ठापितवेदान्तः प्रतिक्षिप्तबहिर्मतः । भूयात्रैगुण्यमान्यस्त्वं भूरिकल्याणभाजनम् ॥ This incident is noted in the biographies of our author and is also indicated by him in the second Sloka of his Adhikaranasaravali. श्रीमद्भ्यां स्यादसावित्यनुपधिवरदाचार्यरामानुजाभ्यां सम्यग्दृष्टेन सर्वसहनिशितधिया वेङ्कटेशेन क्लप्तः । From his childhood till his very end, his life was à round of religious activity. He had a profound respect for Ramanuja and delighted in the study of his writings, He refers to that study as rendering the greatest delight to him. In his old age he said, " यतिप्रवरभारतीरसभरेण नीतं वयः प्रफुलपलितं शिरः" , He wrote the Yatirajasaptati a brilliant poem in praise of Ramanuja. His devotion' to Ramapuja was intense.
