विमूढः deluded ; ब्रह्मणः of Brahman ; पथि in the path.
एतन्मे संशयं कृष्ण छेत्तुमर्हस्यशेषतः । त्वदन्यः संशयस्यास्य छेत्ता नह्युपपद्यते ॥३९॥
Deign, O Krishna, to completely dispel this doubt of mine ; for there is none to be found save Thyself able to destroy this doubt. (39)
एतत् this ; मे my ; संशयं doubt; कृष्ण 0 Krishna ; छेतुम् to resolve ; अर्हसि oughtest ; अशेषतः without remainder : त्वत् than thou ; अन्यः another ; सशंयस्य of doubt ; अस्य (of) this ; छेत्ता the solver; न not ; हि indeed ; उपपद्यते is to be found.
श्रीभगवानुवाच ।
पार्थ नैवेह नामुत्र विनाशस्तस्य विद्यते ।
नहि कल्याणकृत्कश्चिद्दुर्गतिं तात गच्छति ॥४०॥
The Blessed Lord said :
O son of Pritha, neither in this world nor in the life to come is there destruction for him ; never doth any who worketh righteousness, O beloved, tread the path of woe. (40)
पार्थ 0 Partha ; न not; एव even ; इह here ; न not ; अमुत्र in the next World ; विनाशः destruction ; तस्य of him ; विद्यते is ; नहि surely; कल्याणकृत् righteous-doer ; कश्चित् any one ; दुर्गति to an evil path ( fate ); तात O beloved ; गच्छति goes.
