Lata, R. RAJARAJAVARMA, Professor of Sanskrit, and Dravidian languages, Trivandrum :-
1)D T. Tatachariyar of Tanjore paid me a few visits and read to me some of his poetical productions. The young pandit has written many a lyric poem and also a few panegyrics of certain Rajas and Chiefs. He writes chaste, elegant and idiomatic Sanskrit. Both in diction and conception of ideas he is far above the level of a modern versifier. He has very favourably impressed me as a budding poet of extraordinary abilities and I hope his precocious genious will receive due appreciation in the hands of Rajas and Maharajas.
