Some other facts prove that he is not later than 1100 A.D.Gaurana the author of Laksana Dipika , otherwise known as Prabandha Dipika a work on Rhetoric in Sanskrit quotes from Alankara Sangraha Gaurana is said to be the son of Ayalumantrin, brother of Potana, the minister of Singabhupala who lived about 1400 A.D. Laksana Dipika is found in two versions in both of which the author’s name is the same; but in one which is known as ’Prabhandha Dipika and Padartha dipika the author states in the introduction that he is son of Ayamaprabhu , brother of Mitaraja, the able minister of Singaya Mādhava of Recharla family; in the other which is known is known as Laksana dipika, he is said to be the son of Ayalumantrin, brother of Potana, the minister, But both may be identical as Mitaraja may be a scribal mistake for Potarāja. So Amrtanandayogin must have flourished before him. Certain portions of a Telugu text on Rhetoric , called Kavyalankaracudamani appear to have been based on the Alankara Sangraha. The former is a book of the early years of the 15th century. Amrtanandayogin, therefore, can be placed anterior to that date. In one of the inscriptions in Nuzvid Taluk of Krishna Dt, the name of a king named Manva Bhupa is found, and is said
