Mantrapada नीलाम्बुदश्यामलकामलाङ्गः पूर्णेन्दुबिम्बद्युतिवक्त्रपद्मः । रत्नप्रभोद्भासिकिरीटरोचिस्संभिन्ननीलालकभाररम्यः ॥
सत्कौस्तुभोद्भासिविलोलहारः श्रीवत्सलक्ष्मीरुचिरोरुवक्षाः ।
आपीतकोशेयविशेषरम्ये कटिप्रदेशे विपुले दधानः । .
शङ्खं च चक्रं जलजं च नक्रं दधत् तलैः पादकराम्बुजानाम् ॥
सर्वाङ्गसौन्दर्यगुणैकलक्ष्मीं बिभर्ति यस्मात् पुरुषोत्तमोऽसौ ॥ In these stanzas a good description of the god is given along with his several attributes. This is most effective among the Vaişnavamantras. (34) In this section Srikarastaksara is enumerated. Visnu, the lord may be meditated upon by the Sādhaka as follows : क्षीराब्धौ हेमपुलिने दिव्योद्याने मनोरमे । अधस्तात् कल्पकतरोर्हेमसिंहसनाम्बुजे ॥ ध्यायेत तार्क्ष्यसमारूढं तप्तहाटकसन्लिभाम् ।
शङखचक्रगदाब्जानि धारयन्तं चतुर्भुजम् ॥
दिव्यपीताम्बरधरं विचित्रमुकुटोज्ज्वलम् ।।
The Mantra is also called Vişnuhrdaya. With some modification it becomes Gopālakamantra where God Krşn is worshipped as a boy. The following stanzas may be used for meditation. बालं प्रत्यग्रनीलोत्पलदलजलदश्यामलं कोमलाङ्गं
व्याकोशाम्भोजनेत्रं कनकमणिलसद्भूषणं पीतवस्त्रम् ।
बर्हापीडं विचित्रोज्ज्वलमकरलसत्कुण्डलं चारुवक्त्रं
___ कृष्णं दोभिश्चतुभिर्धृतजलजगदापद्मचक्रं स्मरामि ।
श्रीवत्सोद्भासि वक्षः स्थलगतविलसत् कौस्तु भोद्भासिलक्ष्मी
व्यामिश्रालोलहारं मधुकरनिकरानीलकेशालकान्तम् ।
ध्यायेत् पूर्णेन्दुबिम्बामलमुखकमलं फुल्लपद्मायताक्षं
' देवं गोपालवेषं दिवि सुरमुनिभिर्वन्द्यमानं मुकुन्दम् ।।
He may be worshipped thrice a day. In the morning the lord is surrounded by the cowherd damsels ; plays the flute and grazes the cows. In mid-day he is under a celestial tree surrounded by sages and celestials. In the evening he is in the Vrndāvan garden performing the Rāsa dance with damsels. Thus he may be worshipped in different ways.
