The rainy season is intolerable for the females separated from their husbands. Cf. शिसिनि कूजति गर्मसि तोयदे स्फुटक्ति चातिलताकुसुमाकरेः। आइह ! पान्थ न जीवति ते प्रिया नमसि मासिन यासि गृहं यदि " For Baláká (cranes ) occuring in the rainy season Cf. [शारं क्षते.]क्षते क्षार has become proverbial and means 'to ag gravate the pain which is already unbearable,' 'to make bad worse', 'to add insult to injury!'
