Slokas 25-29 give the positions of the mountainpillars of Meru. ty Slokas 33–36 show how to find the distance between one's own place and the equitorial region, the circumference of the earth, the measurement of the earth's diameter and circumference, and the surface of the earth, giving the reason why the earth appears to be flat. Sloka 37 gives 21600 as true circumference when the diameter is taken to be 6876 and then shows how to find the diameter of a given circumference. Sloka 38 shows how to find the circumference from. the given diameter and that the surface of the earth is the product of the circumference and the diameter. Sloka 39 gives the time in other places when the sun rises in Lanka and the other three places. - Sloka 40 shows how to find the cardinal points. Slokas 41-43 give the positions of the terrestrial and other regions. Sloka 44 gives the positiors of the air, water, clouds, lightning, etc. Slokas 45-46 give the positions of Pravaha, Tapoloka and other lokas. Chapter XVI. PLANETARY CALCULATIONS.
