म्रियेयोध्वं मुहूर्ताद्धि न स्यास्त्वं यदि मे गतिः ।
आशंसा न हि नः प्रेते जीवेम वशमूर्धनि ॥ ५ ॥

प्रकुर्याम वयं देशे गह्य तत्र कथं रतिम् ।
यत्र विशतिहस्तस्य न सोदर्यस्य सम्भव:’’ ॥ ६ ॥

आमन्त्रयेत तान् प्रहृन् नमन्त्रिणोऽथ विभीषणः ।
‘‘गच्छेत रैवरितं लङ्कां राजवेश्म विशेत च ॥ ७ ॥

श्रादवीध्वं महाहणि तत्र वासांसि सस्वराः।
उव्धुनीयात सत्केतून् निर्हरेताऽग्रघचन्दनम् ॥ ८ ॥

मुञ्चेताऽऽकाशधूपांश्व ग्रथ्नीयात स्रजः शुभाः ।
आनयेतऽमितं दारु । कपूरागुरुकुङ्कुमम् ॥ ९ ॥

उद्वरन् यज्ञपात्राणि हियेत च विभावसुः ।
ध्रियेत चाऽऽज्यमृत्विग्भिः कल्प्येत च समित्कुशम् ॥ १० ॥

 5. I might die in a mahurla if you were not my resort; for we had no desire that we may live after Ravana has passed away.

 6. How may we entertain any damned attachment to that country wherein there is no existence of our twenty-armed couterine brother (Ravana) ?"

 7. Then Vibhisana ordered his submissive ministers: "Quickly go to Lanka and enter the King's palace.

 8. ‘‘Therein promptly seize very costly clothings, unfurl huge flags and fetch the best sandalwood.

 9. "Fumigate with sky-pervading incense, weave auspi cious garlands, fetch unlimited wood, camphor, sandalwood and saffron.

 10. "Let the sacrificial fire-vessels be carried and fire taken along ; let the ghee be collected and faggots and kusa grass be kept ready by the officiating priests.
