[ BHATTIKAVYA
 

अहं तु शुश्रुवान् भ्रात्रा स्त्रियं भुक्तां कनीयसा ।
उपेयिवाननूचानं निन्वितस्त्वं लतामृग’ ! ॥ १३९ ॥

अन्यनैषीततो वाली प्रणवानिव राघवम् ।
यक्षिपछवाऽद्भवं यस्मात् काकुत्स्थे तनयं प्रियम् ॥ १४० ॥

म्रियमाणः स सुग्रीवं प्रोचे सद्भावमागतः ।
‘सम्भविष्याव एकस्यामभिजानासि मातरि ॥ १४१ ॥

प्रवसाय नगेन्द्रेषयपास्यावो मधूनि च ।
अभिजानीहि तसवं बन्धूनां समयो ह्ययम् ॥ १४२ ॥

दैवं न विवधे नूनं युगपत् सुखमावयोः ।
शश्वद् बभूव तब्दुःस्थं यतो नाविति हाऽकरोत्"॥ १४३ ॥

ववौ स दीयतां भ्रत्रेि माल चाऽग्रयां हिरण्मयम् ।
राज्यं सन्दिश्य भोगांश्च ममार व्रणपीडितः ॥ १४४ ॥


 139. ‘I, however, have heard, Oh monkey, that you cohabiting with a woman enjoyed by (your) younger brother, have been condemned by Vedic scholars."
